Get Lomography Effect on Your Picture with Gimp

Lomography is referred to the high-contrast photograph - with unusual saturation and color - that is created using the technique called cross processing in which film intended for developing in slide chemistry (E-6) is processed in photographic negative chemistry (C-41), and vice versa. This technique can be employed with any film camera and can be somewhat mimicked with Gimp lomo plugin.

The Gimp lomo filter can be obtained from here: http://crunchbang.org/misc/gimplomo.scm and can place it under “scripts” sub-folder in both Linux and windows installation of Gimp.

You can find lomo under Filters –> Light and Shadow –> Lomo:

The lomo effect doesn’t fit all pictures, you will pleasing results with colorful pictures:
