If you are a compulsive Bookmarker like me you will find this tool very useful. I was unhappy with the builtin bookmark managers comes with browsers nowadays, which is also why the author of BKmanager first decided to build this software:

With the ability to import, export from leading browsers, and save all bookmarks in a database format, this is the ideal solution for syncing bookmarks across browsers and computers.

There are other similar solutions out there but this one is definitely something to check out.

Lomography is referred to the high-contrast photograph - with unusual saturation and color - that is created using the technique called cross processing in which film intended for developing in slide chemistry (E-6) is processed in photographic negative chemistry (C-41), and vice versa. This technique can be employed with any film camera and can be somewhat mimicked with Gimp lomo plugin.
The Gimp lomo filter can be obtained from here: http://crunchbang.org/misc/gimplomo.scm and can place it under “scripts” sub-folder in both Linux and windows installation of Gimp.

You can find lomo under Filters –> Light and Shadow –> Lomo:

The lomo effect doesn’t fit all pictures, you will pleasing results with colorful pictures:
Here is a not-so-perfect example of lomo in action:
